TAHPERD Summer Conference Material
TOSY is TAHPERD’s recognition of students of TAHPERD members that are outstanding in our disciplines of health, physical education, recreation, and dance.
TAHPERD is the Texas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and each member of this professional organization is allowed to nominate one student to be recognized each year.
This year, Brittany from West Wood High School was recognized by her teacher Ben Losey.
Also recognized was Anna from Canyon Vista Middle School by her teacher Stephanie Kolaczkowski.
On April 29th, the Middle Schools with FAC, FCC, and FLC programs gathered together at Cedar Valley Middle School to celebrate another wonderful year of Partners in PE with a fun-filled field day! Some of the fun activities included a hippity hop race, obstacle course, archery, temporary tattoos, cup stacking, field goal kicking, worm dig, bubbles, and many more! After rotating freely through many fun stations, students enjoyed a picnic lunch on the lawn with their classes. Following the picnic, everyone gathered together in the gym (with the AC!) to dance the rest of our energy away before heading back to our respective campuses. A staff favorite of the dance was the conga line that turned victory tunnel! Another successful field day in the books!
High Schoartners in PE classes from Round Rock, McNeil, Stony Point, Westwood, and Cedar Ridge High Schools all gathered at Old Settlers Park for the Partners in PE High School Field Day on April 30th this year. The weather was perfect, the shirts were tie-dye, and the dancing was uninhibited! Students from across the district enjoyed hula dancing, lawn games, tug-of-war, a cake walk, parachute games, tattoos, face painting, an obstacle course, and much more! After the games all of the groups gathered in the pavilion for lunch and then the dancing began and didn’t stop until it was time to head home! Overall it was another great field day!
Here's the West Wood crew enjoying the end of the year bash!
